Reversing Trabulectomies

Reversing Trabulectomies

When I had my Cataract Surgery 4-5 years ago, due to the fact that I have Glaucoma, my Opthalmologist suggested that I have Trabulectomies at the same time. At first, it worked fine, but as time went on, my eyes have given me endless trouble with irritation, always feeling as if there is something in them and also the light glare is terrible. I can hardly stand to watch TV or ride in the car. I am scheduled to have the Trabulectomies reversed.  What are the dangers of this and are they usually successful. I am between a rock and a hard place. My eyes are giving me so much trouble, it is almost unbearable at times. I would definitely appreciate your opinion of my problem. Thank you.

Dear georgygirl,

I would recommend that you seek a second opinion from a glaucoma specialist to determine the cause of your light sensitivity and irritation.  These symptoms may result from a number of different etiologies which an examination can detect.
