Right Eye Won't Open as Much as Before

by Fghori786, Sep 19, 2009 03:53AM
I've always had large eyes, over the course of the past two weeks my right eye became red and irritated and was not anywhere near as open as it was before, and so I thought it was just an infection, so I treated it at first with just eye drops and stopped wearing my contacts. After the redness persisted, I started using antibiotic ophthalmic eye-ointment; this made the redness stop. My right eye is still nowhere near as open as it was before, however. There also is nowhere near as much irritation or anything of the sort. I'm really worried and don't know what to do; I was hoping someone could tell me some info regarding a similar situation before my ophthamologist appointment.

Also, the crease of the affected eye appears a little swollen, so I'm not sure if that's the issue.

Eyelid infection Stye or chalazion is far and away the most common cause

B-12 deficiency is another possibility.

To: BAD ADVISE
Caregiver222 you are giving a lot of REALLY bad advice today.

B-12 DEFICIENCY IS NOT EVEN A REMOTE POSSIBILITY.
