Right eye swelling

I have a problem ...sometimes my right eye swells...this is normally when I do not get enough sleep or when I am in some kind of tension/anxiety. Even the right side of my face swells some time albeit lightly...but one can see the difference if seen form near..it also gets blurry when it is swollen sometimes....It also pains at times.I am not diagnosed with High Blood pressure but it runs in the family and sometimes it does go high in very tense situations...

Earlier I had consulted a MD Opthal...who after checking evrything said there is nothing wrong with your eye except for dryness..she prescribes a eye drop...

More often it happens when I didnt have enough sleep..and I could actually feel the heaviness of the eye...

when I was small about 13 yrs or so..I got hot by a tennis ball on the eye..I had lot of pain...but later there was no problem..

Can you please suggest what I should do next...should I again consult an opthalmologist or go to neurologist..is it related to nerves or Blood pressure...or is it more realted to the eye.Some people old me I need to check my kidneys as well.

Your problem has come on AFTER your medical and eye exams so both would need to be repeated.

I did a complete medical examination in recently say about 4-5 months back...that also had a routine eye pressure check...But the tests were all good and nothing came out of it. I was happy at that time but again day before yesterday I got this swelling on my right eye.

I would have two suggestions: a medical eye examination by a different ophthalmologist Eye MD (find one near you at www.aao.org) and second a complete medical examination by a highly qualified General Practitioner or Internal Medicine specialist.
