Rubbing alcohol (isopropyl, 70% solution) fumes, damaging to eyes at all?

Hello all,

I use rubbing alcohol (isopropyl, 70% solution) on a cotton ball to rub on "problem areas" (acne) of my face.  However,  the fumes seem to irritate my eyes and make them red and blurry.  This seems to be pretty common with my eyes with most scents, such as; cologne, deodorant, using soap on my face, etc.  Furthermore, as of lately I have been having "problem areas" on the sides (near the temple), as well.  I was wondering if this was potentially harmful/damaging to the eyes at all?

Much thanks in advance!
