SCLERAL BUCKLE

by SPierce8, Feb 28, 2009 09:56PM

I had Cataract surgery and Laser surgery on both eyes and a Scleral Buckle put on the right eye in summer of 2008.
I have gone thru 7 pairs of lenses and still seeing double and some bluriness. My Dr has tried prisms several times
and I still see double one on top of the other. My Opthomologist has exhausted all sources. I am very concerned and
very frustrated and don't know what to do.

Please advise asap.

Thanks,

Stan Pierce

see a strabismus specialist (eye md specialiszing in eye muscle problems) You need a referall to a tertiary specialist.

You may need these:
1. eye muscle surgery
2. contact lens on eye eye to deal with different refractive error (aneisometrophia)
3. Refractive surgery (lasik) on the more myopia eye.
4. aneisokonia therapy (see comments in many places by JodieJ)
