SORE EYES WITH PSEUDOEXFOLIATION

HAVE JUST HAD TWO CATARCTS REMOVED AND MY EYES ARE SO SORE AND DRY,IT FEELS LIKE LARGE CHUNKS OF GLASS UNDER THE EYELIDS AND I HAVE NO TEARS DESPITE HAVING PUNCTUM PLUGS INSERTED, WILL THIS GET BETTER OR AM I STUCK WITH IT?

They weren't comfortable before the surgery,being only slightly less sore than they are now. It is nearly a month since last eye was done and I was told in November I had pseudo exfoliation.Are the sore eyes caused by the Pseudoexfoliation? So far punctum plugs and artificial tears have not helped. Thank you for your help.

If your eyes were comfortable before the surgery generally your eyes will return to their previous state about 6-8 weeks post op.

In the mean time use the archives and search feature to read about dry eyes.
