Safe amount of pressure for eye flushing?

Can the water pressure from a shower head cause damage if used for eye flushing? (Especially if said shower produces fairly hard water pressure?)

No likely but all you have to do is stand further away from the shower which reduces the pressure.  Shower water should only be used to flush the eyes in the event of an emergency. Otherwise a commercial eye wash of saline should be used.
