Salzmanns Degeneration

I am scheduled for surgery for Salzmanns degeneration on Oct 2.  The surgeon tells me this is an intensely painful surgery for at least 48 hours post-surgery.  Is this a true statement?

If I didn't believe what my surgeon told me before the operation I would not have the surgery done. That's exactly what my orthopedic surgeon told me before I had my rotator cuff repaired. I was most happy he told me as had he not done so I would have been sure something terrible went wront.

If you don't believe your surgeon look for one you do believe. Consider calling back and asking if everyone has that problem or just some.

My experience is that the patients we operate on with Salzmann's do not all have intensive pain.
