Scar Tissue Post Sclera Buckle

It had 2 sclera buckles 18 months ago and am still experiencing a variety of discomforts in my eye.
Is it common to have scar tissue develope and if so what does that feel like?  My surgeon checked my eye 6 months ago and at that time he said there was not any scar tissue present.
Can scar tissue develope long after?
Thanks for your opinion on this.

We have had several recent posts from patients that have had scleral buckles and developed scar tissue and irritation from the "hardware" (stitches, band, sleeves, exoplants). Yes it can develop anything.

If this is getting worse go back and see your retinal surgeon or your general ophthalmologist.
