Scar in Retina.

I have had for a scar in my retina for 3 years now, and everytime I stare at something I see a small little transparent circle. Recently my scar has been distracting  me(the scar/transparent circle is more visable), and now I am at the point where I am using this scar as a fallback(to study). Is there anyway a scar from the inner eye can be removed? I seriously need answeres asap.

I have Myopic Degeneration resulting in retinal hemorrhag in right eye 8 yrs. ago.  I had x3 PDT to stop the bleeding.  It has left a massive scar in my central vision which caused major distortion.  Last Dec.  I experienced a paracentral shadow and wavy lines in my left eye.  I had an Avistin injection and praise God it has helped some.  I still have atrophy and a dry laquer crack in my left eye.  I have consulted a few trained acupuncturist and they assure me that acupuncture can possibly decrease some of the scar tissue and possibly some of the symptoms in my left eye.  They say that the acupuncture will help regenerate some of the dormant cells.  Is this true and have you had any experience where patients have had accupuncture to treat this or similar eye disease with any good results.    Thanks RJM777

There is no evidence that acupuncture can help any of the conditions you suffer from. However claiming to help and charging you money for worthless services greatly enhances their incomes.
