Scleral Buckle and Eye lid opening

Hi,

I'm 23 and had a scleral buckling to reattached my retina with no gas bubble 11 days ago. The eye is still noticeably red and a little bit swollen. However the eyelid is closed partially at all times naturally. Will this go away on it's own and begin to open up back to normal? is there something I should do to help remedy this? should I consult my doctor?

Yes its common. Yes it usually, but not always, goes away. Yes talk to your surgeon.
