Scotoma #2 (blind spots)

by Tim1, Dec 14, 2007 02:52PM
This entry is directed at those of you with scotoma, or blind spots (not so much for the doctors).

I am 27 and I have been getting small scotoma since I was 24.  I get about one new permanent blind spot per week.  I also get many temporary blinds spots per day which usually last only about 10 seconds.  The permanent spots start off as colored (usually orange or blue) spots and fade to a blind spot in a few days.  They vary in size and shape but they are roughly the size of my thumbnail at arms length.

I have seen many opthamologists, neurologists, neuro-opthamlogist and have had many tests done.  Everything comes back normal.

If you are experiencing a similar problem please email me at:  ttaves (at) hotmail (dot) com

P.S.  There are atleast two other people in this world with a very similar problem (but I can't contact them).  Check out:  http://www.medhelp.org/forums/EyeCare/messages/1197.html
