Scratched cornea not healed after 2 months??

Hi there.  About 2 months ago I woke up in the middle of the night with intense pain in my left eye.  I guess I had been rubbing my eye and caught it with my fingernail.  The next day it was so painful I went to the Urgent Care clinic and was given antibiotic drops for a scratched cornea.  The drops did make it feel less painful, however it's been 2 months now and I still wake up every morning feeling like it did when I first scratched it!  Most mornings my eye is stuck shut a bit, and when it opens I have the pain, sensitivity to light, it's badly bloodshot, and waters a ton.  Usually by mid-morning to early afternoon the pain subsides to more of an ache (like someone is pushing against my eyeball) and it's not watering as much.  However for the rest of the day it's very sensitive to light and air and will water at the slightest provacation.  I've re-used the eyedrops a couple of times thinking it was maybe infected but it doesn't seem to help.  I don't really want to spend a few hours in an urgent care clinic if all they can do is give me the eyedrops since I already got those.  Should it still be causing this much trouble?
