See everything bright

Yesterday, I had a muscle cramp on my left leg while coming out from the swimming pool. The pain was very intense for 5 minutes and the muscle started to get into its place. Then I felt like my body and mind is going to give up, I started seeing everything too bright. The blue water, the trees, the building nearby, everything too white and too bright. I can't see anybody swimming down there. I started thinking like this may be the end of everything.  And It remained for 10 minutes and  then it started getting back to the normal.

Now I have no problem with my eyes and the leg; like nothing happened. But just curious what was the reason of such bright vision. Hope to hear from an expert :)

If your symptoms began after your started Budesonide, is worse after you use it then that may be a cause as its a steroid and some people have strange reactions to steroids. However if you had the symptoms before you started the medication its not likely a cause.

Yes, I don't take any form of drugs. and do not smoke, do not drink and I am a vegetarian. Yes I am inhaling Budesonide Powder to tackle with chronic cough issue. Is it the reason then ?

Thank you doctor for your reply and suggestion.

Hyperawareness can be characteristic of atypical migraine. Hopefully you don't do drugs as any number of illegal and legal drug abuse can cause these symptoms.  If this should reoccur you need to work through the causes with your personal physician.  JCH MD
