Seeing dark ring circle vision in my eye

I have a dark ring circle in my vision and it started 10 days ago. I went to my eye doctor and my retina and cornea checked out OK. Do you know what causes the dark ring vision? Is this permanent? Thanks.

I also have visual snow. This came about 3 years ago. It looks like I am looking through a haze (a bunch of white spots). It looks like a tv screen with no cable input (gray, black and white static). There is no explanation for visual snow yet.

I have the same thing. It looks like a dark circle in the center of my vision. When I blink my eyes, I can see it. I went to a retina specialist and was told it was fluid buildup in my eyes. Kind of like a gel that gets trapped. He could not see anything wrong with my eye. It was just a best guess answer he gave me. I have had this on and off for 8 years. I believe it is correlated with dehydration. If you stop drinking sodas, tea, coffee, alcohol, etc., you should notice a difference. Let me know if you figure out what it is.
