Seeking feedback on mini distance mono focal experience

My first surgery is scheduled for 11/2 and I've decided to go with mono focal IOLs as my reading has found too many problems with multifocal and  Dr. H recommended these with 0.00 in one eye and -1.25 in the other.  I am concerned about possible halos, glare and general adjustment as I have tried monovision contacts in the past and did not tolerate them well.

I assume that, worst case senario, I could correct the -1.25 eye with a contact lens (I've been wearing them for more than 45 years) but obviously don't want to be faced with this option.

If anyone who has had mini distance monofocal cataract surgery I would greatly appreciate your feedback.

This combination should give you good distance and intermediate.  You will probably need readers for reading.  I would not be concerned about the halos and glare.  However, your inability to adapt to monovision in the past is a problem.  I do not recommend monovision for cataract patients who were not successful with it with contact lens or LASIK.
