Severe Headaches

I was told, I have fluid in my capillaries in the back of my eyes, is this possible?  What causes this problem?  Some doctors think it is tension headaches but not even tension pain medications work, it must be something out there, in the world that can help me.  In addition, it feels like a bubble in the back (top nearest the nose) of my eyes, one side (left) larger than the (right) other side.   Moreover, does it cause severe headaches?  No matter what I take (medications), nothing works for me.    What can I do about this debilitating problem; it is keeping me from working.  Could you also assist me with what type of physician would I go to, to take care of this server problem (unbearable headaches)?  All I want to do is get rid of these unbearable headaches, the pain is so unbearable, that I become severely debilitated.

Dear Rosey777,

I would recommend that you seek the care of an eyeMD, preferably a neuro-ophthalmologist to find out what is causing your headaches.

Hi.  Have you been seen by an Opthamologist?  I had severe headaches for years and was losing my vision at a rapid rate.  I went to numerous doctors and was told it was just "stress".  nothing I did helped me.  None of the meds helped either.  I finally had a seizure in the doctors office and after being in the hospital with a ton of tests I was sent to an Opthamalogist.  he did a visual field which I failed miserably. Then off to an MRI and lastly a spinal tap.  My pressure was terribly high.  i was then sent to a Neuro Opthamologist who diagnosed me with Benign Intracranial Hypertension, or Pseudo Tumor Cerebri which it was called back then.  Anyway, unfortunately I still live with the daily headaches but I had a shunt put in and it did save my vision.  it seems if you do not fit into the "categories" that are set out, then you just have stress.  If you truly think something is wrong, do not take stress as an answer.  push the docs until they figure it out.  Good luck to you.
