Shooting Pains 1 month post Retinal Detachment Surgery

I am one month Post RD Surgery, Victrectomy, Buckle and gas bubble. Vision is coming back in that eye and generally looks good Last saw Surgeon 1.5 weeks ago with next visit 6 days from now. In the last couple of days I have been getting occasional sharp  shooting pain from the eye radiating to the forehead. Keeping that eye covered with a black patch lessens the occurrence of the pain. Could this be muscular?

Also how long is the red cap eye drops ( dilating)  used?

Any body else a CDL driver post retinal detachment and if so, When were you able to go back to work?
