Shrinking iris, contact lens?

So ive had contacts for about 3 years now, i use acuvue soft lens for myopia. After taking them out every night for a few months, i got the doctors permission to leave them in overnight for at least a few days at a time. So i stopped taking them out as often until about a year later when i realized my cornea was starting to hurt with any contact, and i believe i had a corneal abrasion. So i started to take them out nightly again. When i realized this wasnt helping the corneal abrasion, i took my left one out and kept it out for about a month and then kept my right one out, until they both just about stopped hurting. Then i started using them reguarly again, until i noticed that my corneal area was slightly bulging. I believe it was a corneal edema. So now i stilll have that problem, and ive only worn my right contact for the past month, and only for like 10 hours a day. But even more alarming, the colored part of my eyes have gotten smaller than they used to be, and my left one is smaller than my right one. Its not attractive and im wondering why this is happening. My contacts were never and are never uncomfortable. The edema is worse if i dont get enough sleep.
Please help me, and yes im thinking of going to an eye doctor but please please tell me what you can before i make that decision.
Thanks for your time and input!

Thanks! Is there any way to reverse the scar tissue and shrinking of the cornea?

You may not be a good candidate for contact lenses. This is unfortunate. Leaving contact lenses in while asleep is like not changing your underwear. Though FDA approved, I never recommend sleeping in contacts unless it is for a very specific medical condition. You need to seek the care of a Eye MD (ophthalmologist) who has expertise in the cornea. The colored part of your eye shrinking may be related to vessels or scar tissue. If you are losing vision rapidly or experiencing significant redness, then you need to go urgently.
