Solar retinopathy....

Hi. I would like to know whether it is possible to become permanently (irreversibly) blind by staring at the midday sun through 15 x 70 mm binoculars without any filters.

Thank you.

So there is no way you can go blind by doing this? What if it is done repeatedly? I am investigating on this topic and appreciate your opinion. Thanks alot.

Are you not comprehending what I'm saying. You can lose all your central vision and be unable to read, drive, recognize faces, etc. Anyone that stares at the sun is a fool, soon to be a centrally blind fool.
