Sore watering eyes

Sore watering eyes

I had phaco 7-8 weeks ago and all is well with that.  About three weeks ago I developed conjunctivitis, which has gone from bad to worse.  First my opthalmologist said to continue with the Tobradex, but eyes now watering and sore, so he gave me Vigamox, which was no help at all, and just made my eyes feel sore.  So much watering every second, and my vision seemed quite blurry at times.  Now he has given me Ciloxan ointment to use, as he now is talking about blepharitis.  I have had blepharitis before, but it was just irritation and no watering.

Am I on the right track now?  I feel as though I have now had this too long

Any sort of infection in a post operative patient is a cause for conern because of the small possibility that the germs can get through in incision and into your eye causing a very serious eye infection called an endophthalmitis. Vigamox is one of the strongest antibiotic drops made.

You are not on the right track. I would see the surgeon again. You might also ask for a second opinion from his/her associates if they have one.  You are OFF track and need to get back on track.
