Sports Injury- Blunt Trauma to Eye

by Detera, Jan 05, 2009 02:33AM
I was recently playing soccer and kicked really hard in my face with the ball. I had to come out of the game because I had total vision loss in my right eye. After a while, my vision came back but only partially. The next day, it seemed better but I notice that in dim lights I have a very large black spot in the inner corner of my eye. It seems to fade but every time I blink it is there and more apparent. I haven't been to a doctor, I was wondering if it was necessary or if this symptom was common and would alleviate itself.

This discussion is related to black spot in vision afer injury.

You need to get to an optomologist doctor fast - Emergency room if needed. it could be retinal problem. this needs immediate evaluation.

Your injury and symptoms are very very concerning. See an ophthalmologist tomorrow as an emergency work in. Find one at www.aao.org
