Squint Correction

Squint Correction

I am 24 year old female with an obvious outward turning squint .I have had the squint since birth, it used to turn inwards but after being operated at the age 18 it has now drifted outwards. For a long time after the operation it was fine but now it is visible. Now it is obvious all the time and I find new social situations difficult as I am conscious of the fact people notice my eye.  .Please tell me is there any way to correct my eyes at home which can b cured for life time. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Your problem is called consecutive exotropia and is very common. There is no home treatment that will help. Fusion exercises have been tried but they are very expensive and not helpful.

It the problem worsens and is a big problem you may need additional surgery.

See a strabismus specialist often called a pediatric ophthalmologist
