Stents - bilateral Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR)

Hi there, my mom just had a bilateral DCR done with stents inserted a couple days ago.  She can see the stents at the inner corner of her eyes and feels that they're rubbing against her eyes every time she moves her eyeballs.  This is causing her discomfort.   She also used some sort of eye drops prescribed by her eye doctor to alleviate some of the irritation and discomforts but it still bothers her quite a bit.

Her eye doctor is closed for the weekend and she's a bit worried if this is normal or not.

If any health professionals or patients who underwent DCR with stents can answer to this, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

This is probably normal.  Call your doctor.  He should or the covering doctor should call you.
