Steven Johnson Syndrome

by Rajbhor, Apr 08, 2009 02:07AM
Hi everyone,
My aunty has suffered from Stevens Johnson Syndrome in 2006. To her luck she was survived but her eyes become dry. So to lubricate her eyes she is using TEAR PLUS drops from AVENTIS every 5 minutes.

My question is, is their any permanent solution for it? Any surgery or any other remedy to get rid out of it.

Regards,

Tear plus is one type of tears.  There are more long lasting drops such as Systaine which may require less frequent dosing.  Also,  Restatis is a prescription drop (in US) which may increase help.

Here is a reference regarding Systaine and Restatsis.  Included in the indications is Steven Johnson Syndrome.
