This occurs at night when I am sleeping. My left eye lid becomes sticky and I have to use water to unstick it. Every night I have to sleep with a cup of water to splash on eyelid and find that while it is wet with water it doesn't stick but once the water dries and I wake up the eye is sticky. Do you know how this happens? It used to happen every night but I have noticed now it is happening less frequently. It only happens when I sleep at night.
1. Make sure you don't sleep under a fan or heating/cooling vent.
2. Try using Systane Ultra or Genteal gel at bedtime to see if it helps.
3. If the problem continues see an eye MD. Find one at www.aao.org
