Strabismus Surgery and Vertigo

I am 40 years old and had strabismus surgery 13 days ago (I got strabismus from the treatment I received for cancer in my eye).  About a week ago, I started feeling like my equilibrium is off.  When I first wake up, it's not there, but as the day progresses, it gets worse and worse.  It goes away if I close my eyes for a while.  I don't know if it would be classified as true Vertigo or not.  Does anyone know if this is just something that's common for people recovering from strabismus surgery?  Thanks!

It can be related to the strabismus surgery.  See your surgeon.
