Strange spasm behind ears...

I have been wearing contact lenses for 10 years. However, I recently had glasses prescribed in order to give my eyes a break from the lenses and for reading at night. But lately, when I look down while wearing the glasses I get this strange pulsing or twitching behind my ears where the "hooks" of the glasses rest between my head and ear. Each spasm last about 10 or 12 "ticks" - I'd say every four or five minutes or until I look down again. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do? Thanks!
