Stroke affecting vision

I am a sixty yr old female who had what I believe to be a Chiropractic caused stroke in early July '11. They can find no other cause. The only symptom I had was a small visual defect @ approx. 11o'clock. there is a small space where something else I have seen is in it or it is blank. If I look in the mirror on close-up and look at my nose, my left eye disappears.  The neuro opthamologist that I contacted after the event has looked at my records and decided they can do nothing for me and to just see the Neuro that cared for me in the hospital and an opthamologist. I am curious what the eye doctor would be able to do for me. I am under the care of a Cardiologist as well for a mild MI 2 years ago. Is it necessary to see all of these Dr.'s for my care? The medications and testing is the same.

you will need periodic visual field tests to ensure it is not getting worse.  I would follow the doctor's advice.  Always better safe than sorry when it comes to getting check-ups regularly.
