Stye/Chalazia and contacts

I had a stye/chalazia under my upper eyelid and it has been almost a week and a half. I used the prescribed antibiotic ointment for the full 7 days (as prescribed by my general physician). He said it would go away after a week. The pain is completely gone but there is still a small bump (like a pimple) underneath my eyelid. I'm not sure if any puss ever came out. Can I wear contacts yet or should I see an opthamologist first?
