Stye on my eye...?

can you get a stye from getting toothpaste in your eye? Yesterday I  was brushing with my automatic toothbrush & it sprayed some of my mint toothpaste into my left eye & it really hurt, and now today I have what my mom thinks might be a stye in my left eye. is that at all possible...?

Not really.  I suppose that it could have caused some irritation which increased the activity of your eyelid oil glands and perhaps in some way could have been related.  Whether or not it was involved, you still have a stye or some other irritationa and you should see an ophthalmologist for treatment while it is still and amenable to easier treatments.
