Suggestions for Retinal specialists in Los Angeles

I need the names of some very excellent, top retinal specialists in Los Angeles. Have read the postings on the surgeries for retinal tears & detachments which are very frightening.Please, help needed.

I don't have any names to refer you too, but I wanted to just say I had Retinal detachment surgery five years ago, and although it is frightening at the time, everything will be ok.  I made a full recovery (my vision came back to the way it was before the surgery after about six months of healing)  I was only 35 when I had my surgery which is really young, and I did loss all my vision in my left eye before surgery, but I am happy to say that my Kaiser doctor, brought back my vision.   I had both the buckle surgery and gas bubbles.

Other ophthalmologists in Los Angeles are probably your best source for referrals.  For a $25 fee, you can search CastleConnolly's data base of "top doctors."  All of the retinal specialists listed are experienced, board-certified, and nominated by other doctors as someone they would want to see themselves.  Be sure to check that they have a special interest in treating retinal tears and detachments (and not something else.)
