Your experience is highly atypical. You are entitled to your own opinion but Lyme's disease patients do not have higher rates of dry eyes than non Lyme's Disease patients. Good luck with your therapy.

Lymes Disease can certainly cause Dry eye. In fact dry eye was my first Lymes symptom! It awoke me at night with severe eye burning. I was told it was due to my long term contact use, menopause, etc. I then developed intermittent high fevers up to 105, neck stiffness, restless leg, insomnia, mental fogginess elbow pain, and cold sensitivity to my hands and feet, along with , a cough. After several tests, CAT scan, Pulmonary consult, etc I had a positive Lymes test! My Lymes went undiagnosed/treated for 18 months! I still suffer from dry eye and when I'm fatigued, eat too many carbs, or get sick my dry eye worsens and other Lyme symptoms return. I've tried Restasis several times and it actually causes my Lyme symptoms to return so I have to discontinue it before the full 3 months to see if it is effective. So yes DR. Lymes Disease can cause dry eye!!
