Surgery Options - Corneal Scarring

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone is able to suggest to me what types of surgeries are available to help impove my eyesight.  I have previously posted about this before, however I had all the measurements wrong..... now I have had my medical records sent to me and now I know exactly what is going on.

I have a corneal scar 200 microns deep and obscures the pupillary axis.  My cornea is 570 microns thick.  From my understanding, I meet all minimum requirements to undergo laser surgery (I have read through this via medical literature ect.).  However I do not want to get my hopes up for nothing.  My UCVA is 6/5 is the right eye and 6/7.5 in the left eye, the left eye gives me the ghosting.  Unfortunately, I have tried seeing an Optometrist, but no glasses will help correct my left eye, if anything it just contributes more to the ghosting.

Has anyone else had scars removed from their anterior third of their cornea?  How was your vision after?

If I do get laser surgery, the results I am hoping for is complete scar removal with reduced astigmatism.  However if they can't completely remove the scar, I would still be estatic if they could smooth out my irregular astigmatism.  To be honest, now that my cornea is completely healed, the astigmatism is starting to give me headaches!!!
