Swelling after SB with vitrectomy and gas bubble surgery

Hello i just had a eye surgery, in which the doc performed Scleral Buckle, and vitrectomy with gas bubble. i am really concerned about the swelling. the swelling was minimal on the day of the surgery and after a day it swelled a little bit. But not the swelling is considerable and it has increased a lot and it is increasing by day. i am really concerned. Also, my sister have been reading on this subject and says that increase in swelling can be a result of infection. i am really scared. Please help.

Call your doctor right now and insist on speaking with him. If you cannot reach him, go to an ER. Call in advance; ask which ER can have an Eye MD ophthalmologist there to see you.
