Swollen, painful under eye after cataract. help!

My mother had her cataract surgery on 1st September and traveled back to her country on 22nd. On 24th, her under eye became swollen. It caused pain. She visited the doctor, he prescribed antibiotics and recommended eye drops.
the pain's intensity reduced but she still gets in pain time to time. The area around the eye (from the side of the nose to the brow bone)  hurts too.

Give the 3 week time frame its unlikely that this is a catastrophic infection inside the eye (endophthalmitis). However its not possible to make a diagnosis or offer useful information on its cause. She needs to see an Eye MD to make a proper DX.

My statement is based on the fact you have not said that the vision has gotten terrible and that the eye itself is red and painful.
