Swollen/Drooping Eyelid

by FrankenKay, Jan 10, 2008 02:45PM
I am a 24 year old female and have worn contacts for about 12 years.  I noticed in the past year that my left eyelid seems swollen.  It feels like I can't quite open my eye all the way, but it doesn't quite close all the way when I sleep either.  I went to the optometrist last week for my yearly eye exam, and she said my eyes look healthy (although she did not dilate my eyes, apparently I have large pupils so that wasn't necessary).  So what could be causing the drooping eyelid and what can I do to correct it?  Could this be something serious that I should see another doctor about?
