Swollen Lower Eyelid

I'm young, still in high school, and my left lower eyelid is swollen. It's more swollen than my right eye (my right eye seems perfectly normal). My left eye however also hurts when I blink. I wear contacts and use my glasses. Is there something wrong or do I have to go get it checked out?

Sounds like you've both got chalazia.  I've had them before, as well as stye or two.  Now I'm very careful about washing my eyes regularly, and keeping my eye makeup tools clean... which makes the swollen lower eyelid I awoke with this morning all the more puzzling.  I know it's neither a chalazion or a stye.  The entire bottom lid is evenly swollen, with the absense of pain.  It will probably be gone with some warm compresses, I'm just wondering what could have caused it.

I have this same thing too.  I'm in highschool and this morning I just woke up with a swollen left eyelid.  Its tiring because it hurts when I blink.  I dont wear glasses or contacts though.

Yes, this is not normal eye situation.

1. Leave our contact lens out.
2. Wear only your glasses
3. Use warm compresses for your left lower lid.
4.Return tomorrow or the next day to your contact lens fitter for an evaluation.
