Tan spot on iris/sclera

My daughter is 4 months old and since birth she has had a slight tan spot overthe edge of her iris and part of her sclera on the nasal side of her eye. Her vision seems fine, and she is half Hispanic. Just wondering what possible causes could be. We are waiting to see a specialist.

Strange for it to be on the iris and extending into the sclera. I would take him to a pediatric ophthalmologist to see what's going on.
