Tearing up when I'm not upset

by JimK373, Mar 06, 2008 03:17PM
I am a healthy, successful 48 year old that doesn't wear glasses or contacts.  I have had a condition pretty much all of my adult life where I tear up very easily... and it seems to be getting worse. In meetings my eyes tear up as if I'm emotionally upset, when I'm not.  I tear up more over excitement then sadness... I have always assumed this is just how 'I'm wired'.  The other day I saw something on TV that gave me the idea that it could really be a medically cureable condition.  Does anyone know of any help for this?

Thanks!

See an Eye MD ophthalmologist and discuss the problem. You may have poor quality tears (tear dysfunctional syndrome).
