I appreciate the answers! If already implanted, how is it determined whether or not the lens is centered or not. For example, can a physician simple look at the eye without surgery and determine if it is not centered or is it something he or she has to surgical determine if it is centered or not?
If a Multifocal lens is not centered, how likely is this to give me the blurriness and double outlines on distant objects? Is this common?
Probably and it is uncommon, though definite
Wouldn't the IOL be centered when first implanted?
It should be centered on your visual axis before the conclusion of your surgery. If it was centered on your pupil axis, then it may not be centered in your vision.
Can the lens be re-centered and kept centered or is this another procedure in which I could see even worse?
Always there are risks with the second procedure, but its a great question and should be addressed by your surgeon.
Can my Tecnis eye sight be corrected better than 20/50 with reduced blurriness and free of double images on far objects? If so what procedures can be performed?
lasik or prk or iol exchange
Could I wear corrective eyeglasses with a Multifocal lens in one eye and an accommodating IOL in the other?
yes
