Thick Scar on cornea

Thick Scar on cornea

Hey, 3 weeks ago about i got a really bad corneal ulcer to do contacts. The contacts where monthly and i had only had them for about 2 weeks. had them in from 2pm till 1am and did not fall asleep with them. anyways, i went to see my optometrist today and he told me that the scar is very thick, but with time will thin out. He told me it could take a year... i'm just wondering if theres any possibility it could take less? and also if the scar could potentially heal completely?

Most scar do not go away and if in the center, vision will be reduced.

Ok the scar is slightly to the left but still slightly in the center, is there any possible with time the scaring will be reduced that the center will no longer be affected and il regain vision?

I don't know if this will help, but when I was taking very large doses of vitamin B5 (for adrenal fatigue) after a few months I noticed that the long scar I had, had almost disappeared. I discussed this with my doctor because it was a curiosity. I believe B5 is used in the early stages to lessen scarring. Yet my scar was 40 years old. Try B5. You have nothing to lose. I was taking 1000 mg. daily. I noticed the scar reducing after several months, but it may have started earlier. I wan't looking for it.

This is very interesting about B5. I had ulcer and susequent scar 5 months ago, now I'm no longer taking steroids and looking to do at least something to help my scar. so b5 huh?
