Thinning retina and exercise

I had a torn retina and surgery for it in my left eye about 2 years ago. During a recent dr. visit was told that the retina in the right eye is thinning. I go to the gym about 3 times a week and do strenuous weights, boot camps and cardio workouts. Could this be a bad thing for my thinning retina? Thanks.

There might be a small increase in risk of a tear with really strenuous activity but more likely with blunt blows to the head.  Either way, I would not recommend becoming less active just so you can decrease the risk by a very small amount.  Discuss this with your retina specialist.
