Thygeson's

Thygeson's

I have recently been diagnosed with Thygeson's, which helps explain what I've been going through the past year or so. I'm waiting to see how I respond to steroid drops, then I suppose I'll try other remedies. I've done a few days' cursory research on the 'net and found the same basic info... What I'm wondering is whether the condition becomes less painful with subsequent recurrences, any news on what triggers a flare-up, and how rare is this? I'm posted overseas and have limited access to healthcare so I have plenty of time to do research... I wear contacts and it seems like that might help, which would be great but course not when I get infections related to wear and tear from the contacts in the dusty, dirty, bright environment I'm in. Any new news since last year? Any positive experiences with surgery?

This discussion is related to thygeson's prognosis.

Generally gets better with time, often burns out. Nothing new. Restasis sometimes helps. Contacts sometimes makes worse. Surgery not helpful.
