Tobradex and Blepharitis

Tobradex and Blepharitis

I was diagnosed with seb derm by a dermatologist and blepharitis by an ophthalmologist. My questions are 1) what is the likelihood of a tobradex rebound effect (I used it for about a year and a half) and should I expect my eyes to be bloodshot as I wean myself off of the steroids, 2) I took 200 mg of doxy a day for over 5 years to address acne but recently stopped and found my seb derm to be much improved since I wasn't so dry anymore. My bleph hasn't improved since stopping, is there a chance it will because the doxy was having a neg effect?
Thanks

In my opinion being on a STRONG steroid like tobradex for a year is very unwise and a good set up to develop steroid cataracts or glaucoma.

Use the search feature, archives and health topics to read the extended and many posts. The newest thing for blepharitis is TheraTears SteriLid eyelid cleaner. Cleans and sterilizes the lids. Available over the counter and over the internet.

Yes the Doxycyline may have been making your condition worse. that's called a "paradoxyical" reaction.
