Torn retina and marathon

I am 56 years old and have high myopic , my hubby is running long distance. 7 years ago my right eye got retina detachment and was treated using gas technique. 3 months ago my right eye got retina tear and was treated by laser.
Both eyes were treated by the same eye doctor retina specialist.
My doctor has declared that both my retina are now OK and I can resume my normal activities including running again. however he did not permit me to run marathon and did not provide explanation/answer as when I can or ever can run marathon again. I am a leisure marathon runner , jogging at slow pace to cover a full marathon distance which took me 6.5 hours to finish marathon distance.
My question is can I jog marathon or jog long distance without jeopardizing my retina ? Thanks.

Hello,

I want to order contacts online. My OD Cylinder is -4.00 but the drop box shows -3.75 and -4.25. There is no option for -4.00. So which do I choose?

Thank you for your kind advise and attention. My passion is running long distance. I felt frustrated that I can no longer run long distance. Running long distance has given inner piece and comfort. It also help regulate my blood pressure as I have high blood pressure ( 140/90 ). Unfortunately with retina, one cannot predict or feel if the retina is under pressure, unlike the muscle where we can feel the ache after running few hours which give you signal to slow down or to stop running, but with retina, we don't know if it is about to worn or torn or detached, or is there ? How to define strenuous exercise ? I read somewhere that an exercise is considered strenuous if the heart beat is above 70 % of  ( 220 - age ). Thank you for your kind attention.
