Treatment for CME

I had cataract surgery on June 10, 2009 on my left eye.  For the first week I could see very little from this eye but gradually improved over the succeeding months to, perhaps, 50% of what I call good vision.  This past week I had another exam by my eye surgeon and he ordered a fluorescein angiography for the eye where they inject a fluid into your veins and it shows up in the blood supply to the retina/macular area.  They confirmed that I still had swelling in this area and causing the light entering the macular to be scrambled and the brain cannot decipher it.  (This is all their comments -- not sure of validity).  They have me on the following regimen of eye drops:  4 drops a day of Omnipred 1% and 2 drops a day of Xibrom 0.09%.  I was told to use these drops for 2 months and come back for another checkup.
Questions:  are these noted eye drops suitable for my conditions?  Are there any other cures or aides used by patients with my same condition?
I was told this condition may continue for one year.

These drops will work.  Avastin injection will help ff these drops do not work.  You need to be followed for a steroid response causing secondary glaucoma.
