Typical Costs of Premium IOL Midwest USA

by John C Hagan III, MD, FACS, Nov 05, 2009 10:01PM
What is the cost for Crystalens HD or similar IOL over and above covered costs?

$2650 each eye ($1,000 ASC, $1650 Practice)

Toric  IOL

$1,100 each eye ($500 ASC, $600 Practice)

Can practices charge extra for a hi tech aspheric monofocal IOL like the new Tecnis?   Do not charge patients extra…..insurance pays $50 each extra
