Unexplained pressure in left eye

For two days now I have had unexplained pressure behind my left eye.  It hurts whenever I move the eyeball, so looking straight ahead is okay, but looking up, down, left, and right bothers me.  The amount of discomfort varies.  Yesterday it was fairly consistent, but it was much better when I woke up this morning and has gotten worse as the day progressed.  I went to the doctor on the first day but he was unable to diagnose the problem and told me to wait and see.  I have no other symptoms.  My nasal passages are clear, altough when the eye pressure is at it's worst I can feel a bit of pressure on my left nasal cavity(?), but I have no discharge or post-nasal drip.  There was no headache associated with the pain originally, but I have developed a slight headache in the front forhead region this evening.  The pain is not severe, and at best can be discribed as annoying.  I can't recall any trauma to cause this condition.  I first noticed the pressure on my way to work Monday morning and it has been with me since then.  Any ideas on what could be causing this?

You should see an Eye MD to make sure its not a eye problem. If that's normal then you need to exclude sinus disorder.
