Update: Optic Nerve Damage

Update: Optic Nerve Damage

I posted a question regarding optic nerve damage in January and thought I'd update.

I finally got my MRI a few weeks ago. The opthomologist had the results yesterday and he believes my optic nerve damage is congenital. However, when they did the MRI they noticed a pituitary macroadenoma (benign tumor on my pituitary gland) which needs to be looked after. It's funny but I'm actually relieved in some ways to know my vision isn't being affected by anything. The tumor is not pressing on the optic nerve.

Had I not had the MRI, I wouldn't have a clue about my pituitary tumor. I'm glad I know now and can get treatment for it. Hoping it will help with conceiving my second child.

Good luck.  You probably get a hormone workup.  You may have inadequate hormone to conceive.
